Luis Franco


Luis Franco works for the Litigation department and he also works with the Public law team at the firm.

Areas of expertise:

He has extensive experience in the provision of legal advice regarding pre litigation and litigation to national and international clients, mainly in regards of large infraestructures, EPC and O&M contracts, construction and engineering. Also in the fields of energy, banking, agency and distribution, franchises or F&B, among others.

His areas of expertise are:

  • Construction law: legal advice and legal representation of builders, engineers and developers.
  • Obligations and Contracts.
  • Civil liability and non contractual liability.
  • Recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and other legal forms.
  • Corporate conflicts.
  • Arbitration proceedings (ad hoc and regarding Institutions) both national and international.
  • Unfair competition and antitrust.
  • Disciplinary proceedings by restrictive horizontal and/or vertical agreements.
  • Claims for damages following violation of Competition law.

Luis lectures on Litigation and Arbitration in the Master´s Degree Program in Access to the Legal Profession  at the Universidad Europea de Madrid and he is a regular contributor in several national and international especialized magazines. Moreover he is a member of the Spanish Arbitration Club (Club Español del Arbitraje).

Academic Background:

He holds a degree in Law and in Business Management and Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
